The birthday girl

Mum in the 'potting shed'
This is Sunday and what a beautiful day for pottering in the garden. Pity we do not have a photo of the garden which is looking so colourful and not a weed in sight. Today we planted out the very small winter pansies.

Back home

Cards and flowers still arriving
The sitting room is gradually filling up with special cards and flowers - thanks to all those who made mum's birthday so wonderful.

John

The day after at Mum's
John turned up on Sunday having done a 30 mile bike ride. Just an excuse to call in for a cold beer.

The young ones

John, Mum and Joan
Yes, we are the two youngters with mum squashed in the middle

So lucky to have bright weather for further partying at Jean and John's.

Surprise guest

Mum and Vicky
Mum got such a surprise when Vicky showed up unexpectedly (one of mum's great-grand daughters). It definitely made the day.

A bright spark

A special 'cat' cake from Pat
That's what mum always calls me - a bright spark. But today she was the bright spark. Patrick organised this lovely cake with the three cats, Sid (the current one), Maurice and Ginger.
